To be able to continuously and optimally react to digital printing's rapid technical development and integrate the evolving technological advances, as well as to satisfy the continuously growing application-related requirements in product development, cooperation and information exchange with other companies in the industry has become more important than ever before.

Thus, in 2017 MPRINT entered into a more intensive cooperation with LEONHARD KURZ after several years of having had a close technology partnership. KURZ offers a comprehensive product range for surface finishing, decoration, marking, and anti-counterfeiting, which is completed by an extensive portfolio of digital finishing and embossing machines as well as embossing tools. In addition, the company continuously invests in new technologies and develops innovative functional solutions for surfaces.

Although KURZ already offered several machine concepts for digital metal effects, this cooperation quickly resulted in the first joint product developments. After continuously expanding the cooperation between the two companies over the next few years, MPRINT became a member of the KURZ Group in 2021. KURZ has a global presence with more than 5,500 employees working at over 30 locations and production sites in Europe, Asia and the USA. 

MPRINT's status remains unchanged and independent, its location in Baiersbronn will not only be maintained but expanded. MPRINT products will continue to be managed and sold as an independent brand under the umbrella of the KURZ Group and will support a wide range of digital applications in the market as well as KURZ's digital finishing applications. The familiar MPRINT product portfolio, which ranges from modular machine concepts to complete label printing systems for the growing digital print market, will remain available and will be continuously expanded with new developments.

Integration into the KURZ Group will make it even easier for MPRINT to cooperate with the other subsidiaries for digital solutions and hybrid concepts. The short communication lines within the KURZ Group enable a regular, efficient exchange of information on markets, technologies and requirements, and the expertise gained is continuously incorporated into product developments. This means that MPRINT is always ahead of its competition and has a sound grasp of the market needs, offering state-of-the-art solutions.
